Forklift Wholesalers had a basic brochure-style site with a minimum of database functionality built in. They wanted to be able to upload photos of their forklift to the site and give their customers the ability to search for a particular style of forklift, search by brand, or search by forklift specs. They also wanted an easy to use site administration console that would allow them to input information into their Microsoft SQL Server database without having to directly edit the database.

In addition, forklift wholesalers wanted to be able to specify a particular forklift that could be branded "Special of the Week" that would show up on the front page of their site.

Search functionality did not work on the web site. No pictures were available for customers to view.

I altered existing tables and created additional database tables to house pertinent information, including where pictures were stored on the web server, "Special of the Week" information, and forklift specifications.

I then developed the site administration console that would allow administrators to insert, change, and delete forklift information from the database. The console also gave them the ability to upload pictures via FTP and created a "Special of the Week" (or use a default image if no special of the week existed). The special of the week portion of the website shows a picture of the special along with a short description and heading, all of which is specified by the administrator.

Finally, I changed the portion of the web site that was viewable to customers in order to allow the additional functionality as described in the project description.
